Last week, the FAMU School of Business and Industry (SBI) welcomed students back to the newly renovated Bull & Bear Study Lounge. According to The FAMUan, its features include “new computers, Rattler Charge Stations and mobile charger stools.”

FAMU President Elmira Mangum, SBI Dean Shawnta Friday-Stroud, and Director of Student Activities Marvin Green were present to celebrate the room’s re-opening.

The renovated Bull & Bear Study Lounge is now dedicated to the late Charles Evans, who served on the faculty of SBI for 30 years. His widow, Connie Hicks-Evans, thanked the university on behalf of the family.

“I am just elated,” Evans said. “My husband was a very humble man and he loved students and did all he could for them.”

The renovation was made in response to a proposal by FAMU Study Body President Tonnette Graham, who successfully lobbied the administration to assign over $100,000 in Capital Improvement Trust Funds to make the project possible.
